How do I use Prime Transit?

Prime Transit delivery is a simple, easy-to-use on-demand delivery service available online. To order online via mobile or on the website, go to www.primetransit.com and you can order items for delivery in the following way:

  1. Provide a detailed description of what you want in your order.
  2. Select a place where you want your order from.
  3. Choose a substitution (What should the courier do when there is a problem with your order)
  4. Choose a receiver from your saved receivers or add new receivers (people who will be receiving the order at the time of delivery)
  5. Choose a delivery address or add new delivery addresses.
  6. Choose a payment method (We accept major credit cards and debit cards only). We do not accept cash.
  7. Read the terms and conditions

When can I use Prime Transit ?
Prime Transit delivery is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. However sometimes due to heavy demand if couriers aren’t available at the time of order. Please wait and try again.
What cities is Prime Transit available in?

Prime Transit delivery is currently available in Burbank and will be expanding to more surrounding areas soon!

What can I have delivered with Prime Transit?

If it’s in a store or restaurant in the Burbank area, we can deliver it. Get donuts from your nearby donut shop, new shoes from the shoe store, an iPhone charger from a near by store, prescriptions from the pharmacy, send mail or documents to nearby businesses or addresses — you name it.

Who makes the deliveries?

We have independent couriers. All couriers are personally onboarded by our Operations team to complete deliveries in Burbank. When your delivery is accepted, you are immediately introduced to your courier with his/her photo ID and firstname.

How do the couriers make the deliveries?

The couriers can be in cars or motor-bikes.

How much does it cost?

We charge you the purchase price of the items plus Delivery fees which starts at $12 flat rate for a distance of 10 miles or less from the order pickup location and order drop off location and any distance more than 10 miles will incur a $1.50 per mile charge. Additionally, a 4% service fee is applied to the purchases used with a credit card.

So for a typical example having delivery within 10 miles, if the items of your order costs $25, your total will be = $25 + $12  = $37

If delivery is more than 2 miles, add $1.50 per mile for any distance more than 10 miles.

Why do I see an authorization charge on my credit card?

When you request a delivery, we may temporarily authorize your credit card for an estimated order total or $30 whichever is higher. Once your delivery is complete, we replace the authorization with the final charge from the merchant. This change is typically reflected within 24 to 48 hours of the delivery, though some cards take 3-7 business days to process the change.

How do you decide who accepts my delivery?

Deliveries are immediately assigned to all the couriers who are not on a delivery in the Burbank area so there are good chances of your order being accepted by a courier ASAP.

Can I request a specific courier?

You cannot request a specific courier at this time.

What if I need to contact my courier?

You can text your courier at any point during your delivery. You can be rest assured as your phone number is not displayed to the courier when you text him/her on their phone number provided on the order page.

Does Prime Transit Delivery deliver to commercial addresses?

Absolutely! We will deliver to your home, office, the middle of the street or even at the bus stop. Just be sure to enter a detailed description of the drop off location and our couriers will find you.

What should I do if I need to edit my pick-up or drop-off address?

If you haven’t placed your order yet, you can edit the delivery address directly from the place order page. Choose from your saved delivery addresses or add a new delivery address.

If you’ve already placed your order and need to change the pick-up and/or drop-off, you can text your courier and let him/her know about the new location.

What if I need to change my order, or add an item?

You can only change your order or add an item to your existing order as long as the courier has not made the purchase for your existing order. So you should text your courier as soon as you realize you need to change the order.

Can I cancel the order?

You can cancel the order only if the courier has not made the purchase yet.

Can I return an order?

Sorry, we do not accept returns yet. The courier will give you the receipt received from the store. So you can always return the items back to the store at your convenience. If there was a problem with the order and it was due to us, we will happily issue you a full refund.

Is tip required? Where does that money go?

100% goes to the courier for their effort on the delivery. If you would like to leave a tip, you are given the opportunity to add a tip or a custom dollar amount. The tip screen will pop up once your delivery is complete or you can follow the link in the email you receive about the delivery confirmation for your order after the order has been delivered to you. Please Note : You have a chance till up to 12 hours after the
delivery has been made, to tip your courier.

Can I tip my courier with cash?

Yes you can gladly tip the couriers by cash for their efforts.

How do you hire your couriers?

All couriers are thoroughly vetted, including a background check in multiple counties and they go through an onboarding process before they can accept orders.

Can I apply to become a courier?

What if my delivery takes longer than 1 hour?

If your delivery takes longer than 1 hour, please be patient as stores or restaurants sometimes have more wait times than the usual times. If it’s late due to our own error, we may refund the delivery cost. You can email us at support@primetransit.com regarding any problems.

Can I send items to someone?

Yes! You can request delivery by ordering on Prime Transit. When you visit Primetransit.com, be sure to enter the address of where you’d like the items to be delivered. This way you can then get items delivered to a friend, coworker or loved one in under 90 minutes.

Can I get items from Craigslist delivered?

We can only deliver a purchase from Craigslist if you have already paid the seller.  Also the seller lives within our service area and the person you are purchasing from should accept a credit card. We will not pay cash for an item off Craigslist and we cannot pick up cash from you and then retrieve the item.
